CLIMAX
The climax of Frankenstein occurs when The Being appears on Victor and Elizabeth's wedding night, where he murders Elizabeth while Victor is in another room. The intimacy and possible chance at preventing the murder causes this to be the climax of the entire novel. The audience knew that Elizabeth was the only loved one left of Victor's and that based on The Being's warning but complete unexpectedness of the attack is where the most action occurs. This sets Victor and The Being off for their final showdown, which is a epic race to kill The Being, who keeps Victor chasing by leaving clues as to where he is going on purpose.
